Getting There

.

By car or motorbike:

Just follow Google maps or your SatNav. If you are using any of the freeways in Hungary you have to have a sticker on your vehicle. If you are coming from western Europe or from the north, the location can also be approached from Slovakia. Wherever you are coming from, the last sizeable village before Csobánkapuszta is Bercel, from where a narrow paved road leads to a hamlet known as Ordaspuszta. From here the last short stretch of road to our settlement is over a dirt road.

By public transport and bike:

It is really easy to reach our place by long distance bus, and if you want to have your bicycle but don’t want to ride 60 kilometres, you can take the train to a nearby village and start from there.

Several direct buses connect Budapest to the village of Bercel, taking a little over an hour. Bercel is the nearest village, but it is still some distance away, so contact us in advance to arrange a pick-up. In Budapest, the buses depart from the Újpest-Városkapu Volánbusz terminal which can be easily approached by metro (line 3). You can buy your ticket in the ticket office or from a ticket machine. For timetables you can check the menetrendek.hu website. Please note, some of the bus services are not direct, you have to change at one point. It is safer and more convenient to take direct buses. There are also bus services to Bercel from the city of Vác.

Coming by train, on which you are allowed to transport your bike, the final destination is Galgaguta, the second nearest village from our place. Trains depart from the Keleti Railway Station in Budapest, and you have to change from the main line to the small local train at the city of Aszód. Your ticket is valid for the whole trip, all you have to do is hop on the two-carriage little red train. From Galgaguta, it’s a relatively short and easy ride to Csobánkapuszta.

Either way you’re coming, we are looking forward to welcoming you on our beautiful land!
