The Place
Csobánkapuszta is set among trees, overlooking a little lake where you can descend for a swim. Over the lake across the valley, you see rolling hills covered with thick forests. On the other side, you have a beautiful view of big open agricultural lands and behind them the characteristic double-peak of Szandavár hill, topped by the ruins of a fort. It is a tranquil nature escape in truly stunning surroundings.

Within the settlement, there is an open central area with a big kitchen and sitting places. A little garden is located behind the kitchen, and a little further in the trees you find the communal showers and composting toilets. A big fire pit sits in a small clearing in front of the kitchen with seats around it, ideal for cooking a Hungarian bogrács meal, conducting meetings or just relaxing. On smaller musical events this clearing also serves as the “dance floor”, complete with a DJ booth. All around Csobánkapuszta, you see installations and art wherever you look. There are different types of accommodation among the trees for locals and visitors, and during festivals the big field next to the trees is allocated as a camping and caravan spot.
