Activities

A wide range of activities are available on site and in the area, whether you want to take it easy and relax or be more active. There are also regular events of all kind, for adults and kids. Click the link to see our past and upcoming events.

Activities include:

Hungarian “bogrács” cooking

The bogrács is a round pot hanged on a metal tripod over a campfire, the traditional way of Hungarian outdoor cooking. Different soups and stews – among them the famous gulyás – and other dishes can be cooked this way. We prepare traditional Hungarian dishes – vegetarian as well – for groups of 4 or more people, but you can also have a go yourself.

Pálinka tasting

This is a dangerous but one of the must-do activities in Hungary: tasting the different local fruit brandies known as pálinka. We have a selection from local producers, all organic, tasty and strong.

Jamming sessions

When there are enough musicians around, let yourself be taken away on the wings of the sound. Drums, didgeridoo, guitar, flutes, you name it, all instruments are welcome!

Live DJs

Sometimes there are “house parties”, not official events, with only a dozen or so people hanging around. If you are an aspiring DJ, this is the chance to show your style and skills!

Workshops

Experience the work of a blacksmith, weave a basket, make bread, learn some sewing tricks for your next costume, discover the magic behind herbs or expand your juggling skills. Just a few examples of what you will be able to stumble upon in our workshops.

Healing

The tranquil location is ideal for yoga and meditation which you can do yourself or join a group when there is one. An island of tranquillity, tea, self exploration, rejuvenation, meditation, recreation, movement and play. AcroYoga, Yoga, contact dance, martial arts and massage are amongst the options you can lose yourself in in the quiet and serene space of the Healing area.

Swimming in lake

The small lake, found just down from a settlement, is overgrown by canes on most sides, but there is a small pier from where the water can be approached. Please note, during bigger events it is forbidden to swim in the lake due to health and safety rules.

Nature discoveries

Identifying plants, spotting wildlife, nature photography, colleting medicinal plants and mushrooms – these last two only if you know what you are doing. You can also get an expert guide.

Hiking

Several shorter hikes can be made in the area, including to the Sasbérci lookout and Szandavár hill, but there are longer hiking routes as well.

Bicycling

Csobánkapuszta is perfect for mountain and dirt biking, and you could also explore the broader area on a bike and visit some of the attractions. Going to the village on bicycle for supplies is also a good exercise.

Horse riding

Sometimes we have horses on site, and there are horse riding places nearby.

Fishing

There are several fishing lakes in the broader area.
